Intrigued by the idea of truly pet resistant flooring, the product testers at “Thumbs Up” decided to try out cork-backed Vi-Plank flooring for themselves. They ordered a sample kit to examine each of the colors in person before choosing one and installing it over a concrete subfloor.
Not only did they find Vi-Plank’s appearance virtually indistinguishable from real hardwood—even down to the textured surface—they found its sound resistance superior to ordinary laminate flooring. The testers liked how the subfloor required no preparation and praised the installation as remarkably quick and simple. The planks snapped tightly together, forming a moisture barrier that stood up to the puppy puddle test. But did this pet friendly flooring actually remain free from dents and scratches when a 120-pound dog ran across it? Click on the video to see what happened!
